Acid wear is a growing concern... Acid wear is the process where the protective layer of tooth enamel gradually dissolves through repeated exposure to acidic foods or drinks, and/or acids from the stomach. Over time, this wear can leave the enamel and the dentin weakened and sensitive.
Acid wear is not reversible, but if you have concerns let use know at your next appointment and we can advise of the steps you can take to minimize future acid exposure and help reduce the effects of acid wear.
